Aimee Hall, First Grade Teacher

ahall@odysseycharter.net
I graduated from Utah State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science
degree in History and minors in Family and Human Development, Folklore, and
British Commonwealth Studies. I also have a certificate in Ornamental
Horticulture. I am currently finalizing on the requirements for my teaching
license. I was a first grade instructor for Odyssey Charter School last
year. I was a teaching assistant in Logan School District. I worked as an
Early Head Start Research Assistant at Utah State University. I was also a
Head Start Teaching Assistant in Orem. While at Utah State University, I was
Head Chairperson for United Campus Volunteers, helping to oversee 180
volunteers working in elementary schools.
I was born in Provo, and have the most amazing family!
I have one sister and two brothers. My family moved around several times
while I was growing up, so I have been able to meet lots of interesting
people. Both of my parents are educators and have been a great influence
throughout my life. I also have an adorable niece and nephew and another
niece on the way.
I have always loved learning new things. My favorite
subjects in school were literature and history. I also enjoyed being the
editor of my high school literary magazine, and being a member of the
yearbook staff. My favorite place that I have traveled to is all over
Western Europe, and hope to travel all around the world. My favorite book
is "Pride and Prejudice," among others. I absolutely love Italian food.
My favorite treats are Oreo shakes, and fresh pineapple (not together of
course!) My hobbies and interests are reading, camping/hiking, traveling,
gardening, family history, getting together with friends and family, and, of
course, shopping!
I decided to
go into education because I love working with young children. It's exciting
to think that I can make an impact in helping my students become successful
learners. I hope to instill within my students a life-long love of reading
