Kathryn Rockhill, Third Grade Teacher

krockhill@odysseycharter.net
My name is Kathryn Rockhill and I am excited to be here
at Odyssey. I have taught for three years for the Alpine School District;
one year for Odyssey and my own private preschool for three years. I have
my Elementary Education Bachelors Degree from BYU and my Early Childhood
Endorsement from UVSC. I am licensed to teach K-8. I love
teaching and I am excited to teach 3rd Grade.
My family is a big part of my life. I have five
children ranging from seventeen down to nine. They keep me very busy and
I'm glad that I am teaching part time, so that I can spend some time with
them. They are all very busy in sports and dance and watching them
participate in these activities is one of my favorite things to do.
As for my hobbies I enjoy music, sports and reading. I
love to spend time in American Fork Canyon and camp, and go tubing with my
children. I also try and stay in shape and run a couple of miles every
day. I don't watch a lot of TV or movies, but an old favorite is "While You
Were Sleeping". I love to read fiction novels and I also love to read
picture books to children. My favorite food is barbequed spareribs and my
favorite candy bar is a snickers.
I also love teaching. I enjoy your children and love
to see them progressing and learning. It is such a joy to have such good
children with great supportive parents. I am happy to be here at Odyssey
this year. I love the Reading Mastery program and the Saxon Math program.
I know that this second year will be great!
