What do OCS Trustees do?

The purpose of the board, on behalf of the members of the Odyssey Charter School community and Odyssey Charter School, Inc., a non-profit corporation, is to see to it that Odyssey Charter School (a) achieves appropriate results for appropriate persons for an appropriate cost (as specified in board Ends policies) and (b) avoids unacceptable actions and situations (as prohibited by board Executive Limitations policies).  Trustees have a fiduciary duty to the school to ensure that its funds are spent wisely, appropriately and legally. The OCS Board of Trustees has adopted the Policy Governance governing model and all board members will be required to become familiar with Policy Governance and propagate the model to future board members.
