Amy holds a BA in English from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and a JD from the J. Reuben Clark Law School (BYU). She has served in numerous volunteer roles in the community, serving as legal advisor for victims of domestic violence, on the board at Mountainlands Community Health Center (Provo), and as a founder at Odyssey Charter School. Her volunteer contributions at Odyssey have included helping to write the charter, writing the school’s start-up grant, assistant to the Board, Volunteer Committee Chair, Board Member, and many hours of work on the hallway “Timeline of Art”.
Amy was born in Bangkok, Thailand and has also lived in northern Virginia, Jamaica, and northern California (DON’T ask her if she’s an “Army Brat”! Her father was diplomat for the US State Department). She and her five children—ages 14 to 4—all recently supported their husband and father during his military deployment to Afghanistan.
She enjoys reading literature, ballroom dancing, and watching her children learn any new skill that is (by any stretch of the imagination) productive.
