Hi, I'm Carol Callister and I am excited to be teaching first grade in the Jungle Room. I love teaching and look forward to getting to know each child in my new class. I taught first grade for 19 years in California before moving here to beautiful Utah. While in California, I was a disaster volunteer for the American Red Cross. I also volunteered at the local hospital and library. The most interesting thing I have done in my life is to teach English as a second language in Sri Lanka for fifteen months. I learned to appreciate the culture and friendly people of that country. I enjoy conversing in American sign language and love to read. I have fun going to plays and concerts and spending time with my family. I would like to meet you. I will be available after carpool next week if you would like to stop by the "Jungle Room". |
