My name is Cindy Hart and this is my second year at Odyssey Charter School. I taught for Alpine School District last year as a first grade teacher and am thrilled be able to be a part of teaching again this year.
I grew up here in Utah and have always wanted to be an elementary school teacher. Like many children I would come home from school to pull out my teddy bears and other stuffed animals to "play school." My desire to teach continued as I grew and one could find me helping and working in pre-schools, summer schools, elementary schools, tutoring, teaching flute lessons, and many other things. I attended Brigham Young University-Idaho to graduate with an associates in generals before I made my way to Brigham Young University to graduate magna cum laude in elementary education. Throughout my educational experience I have worked in Urban elementary schools in Salt Lake City to rural elementary schools in Idaho. I also had the wonderful opportunity to live in Belgium and the Netherlands where I learned so much including how to speak Dutch! Through all my many experiences my passion and love of teaching is very evident and my love of learning is a constant aspiration.
I have been married to my amazing husband for over a year and we currently have no children. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with your children here at Odyssey and hope that I will be able to instill in them their desire to learn and the success needed to know they too can reach their dreams. |
