My name is Rachel Wilkinson. This is our 6th year here at Odyssey Charter School. I have 2 children attending Odyssey this year. I started out here at Odyssey as a Room parent. I also helped with the Curriculum Enhancement Team and fell in love with volunteering. I was asked to chair the Room Parent Committee and filled that role for 3 years. I am currently working as the Volunteer Coordinator. In this role, I have the privilege of working with all of the wonderful volunteers here at Odyssey Charter School. I LOVE this school and the opportunity that it provides every parent to make a huge difference in their child’s education.
I was born in Utah and moved to Central California when I was 6 years old. I grew up in Fresno area. After College, I began my career at Thrifty Nickel Want Ads in Fresno where I met my husband of almost 16 years. We moved to Utah just 6 months after we were married and have lived here ever since. We have 4 very beautiful and energetic daughters.
In addition to coordinating all the parent volunteers, I am responsible for Odyssey Charter School’s Newsletter, The Breeze. I also maintain the Content on our website. I have been in the publishing industry for 16 years and hope to bring my business experience into this role. I am thrilled to get to know all the parents here at Odyssey and look very forward to another great year. |
