Valerie Neumarker, Instructor

 
This is my first year at Odyssey Charter School as a part-time instructor.  I grew up here in Utah and graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Brigham Young University.  Soon after my husband graduated from college we moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Then we moved to Hartford, Connecticut and then to Dallas, Texas.  We lived in Dallas for five years.  It is there that I had twin boys.  We packed up and moved to California and then in 2006 we moved from San Francisco to Pleasant Grove.  My husband's job has moved us around the country and we have enjoyed the different experiences of living lots of places, but we intend to live here in Utah a long time.  We love Utah and the mountains. 

 

My favorite things to do are to spend time with my husband and children.  We love to go hiking and biking together.  My favorite past-time is to read.  I absolutely love books.  Some of my favorites are "The Count of Monte Cristo", and "The Blue Castle". 

 

I love working in the classroom.  Odyssey is a wonderful school and I am excited to be an instructor to help students learn and grow.
