Room 206

I’ve been teaching at Odyssey since 2006 and currently serve as the Latin teacher. I hold a B.A. in Latin Teaching from Brigham Young University and an M.A. in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education.

As the Roman philosopher Seneca once said, *"non scholae sed vitae discimus"—*we learn not for school, but for life. While Latin may not seem immediately relevant to daily life, it sharpens logical thinking, deepens understanding of grammar, and fosters the ability to deconstruct and analyze language—skills that support lifelong learning and are central to a Classical Education.

Over the years at Odyssey, I’ve taught Latin, Math, and PE. I enjoy reading, studying history, and diamond painting. Though I now call Utah home, I’ve also lived in Colorado (twice), the Philippines, Maryland, California, Texas, and Georgia.
