Hello! My name is Nikki Carpenter and I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year. I’m proud to have been part of the Odyssey Charter School community since its doors opened in 2005. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles, including kindergarten and first-grade teacher, reading interventionist, and behavior support specialist. I earned my Associate of Science from Snow College and my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with a minor in Music from Utah State University. I am also certified in The Spalding Method and The Science of Reading (LETRS), and am committed to ongoing professional learning.

I am thrilled to be returning to the kindergarten classroom, where I can combine my love of early learning with my passion for helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe kindergarten should be a joyful place where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. My goal is to create a nurturing classroom community that fosters curiosity, confidence, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning.

My experience supporting students’ academic and behavioral growth has strengthened my belief that every child can succeed when given the right tools, encouragement, and opportunities. I look forward to partnering with families to help each child build a strong foundation for future success.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, traveling, reading audiobooks, photography, and exploring the outdoors. Odyssey has truly become a second home to me, and I feel grateful to be part of such an amazing school community.
