Raven Ngatuvai
Board Secretary
Rooted in Utah County and guided by my Cuban heritage, the values of community and family hold immense significance for me. This foundation fueled my educational pursuits as I studied at the Universidad de Guadalajara in Mexico, Universidad de Alcalá in Spain, and The BYU Jerusalem Center, culminating in a degree in Theater & Media Arts Studies with a minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University. I have continued my commitment to fostering global and local unity throughout my media production and live events career in corporate and non-profit sectors, discovering and developing my firm belief that even the smallest gestures can create incredible connections. I co-founded Beyond Words, a language learning experience for children because I have found that they are the best at bringing the world a little closer together. I currently teach this curriculum for Spanish to kindergartners at Odyssey, and witnessing their minds and hearts expanding is a profound privilege. As I entered motherhood, I became acutely aware of my influence for better or for worse, as a leader, teacher, caregiver, and protector. This is my most solemn position in life, making me passionate about connecting hearts and minds inside and outside the home. I am dedicated to continual improvement and prioritizing personal, family, and community growth. I embrace the power of shared narratives and seek to foster a collaborative environment because I care about what happens next.
